Library of Ruina, regardless on if you've played Lobotomy Corporation before (and hell even Limbus Company) makes it self out to be one of the most enjoyable game I've played gameplay wise, and for the story? It's genuinely a masterpiece like no other. Project Moon manages to expand upon their dystopian universe built up in their original title Lobotomy Corporation, by showing more of how much of a literal hellscape it is to even just exist inside this world. And they do it masterfully. Onto the gameplay... and this is where some negative comments come in, but! Fret not, they can are not the end all be all. To start, I suppose I'll state the obvious (regardless of your system, it'll most likely happen). The game suffers from freezing issues when switching between some different tabs of the UI and that is probably the biggest issue you'll see off the bat. As for other issues, the game is honestly a hellhole when it comes to grinding. The book mechanic is lackluster and makes already hellish fights even more hell when you fail the next reception and have to go and replay it just so you can get the chance to play the NEXT fight again, and it continues on and on throughout the entire game. To counteract this grinding issue, I almost urge all new players to pick yourselves up both the "No Grind" and "Achivement Unblocker" mod to ensure a relatively smooth gameplay experience. For the battles and combat, it's very reading heavy. And if you don't read each fight, you'll be in for a rather tough challenge (and or suffer entire wipe outs on days end). So, please if you're considering playing the game. READ EVERY PASSIVE, IT'LL MAKE LIFE SO MUCH EASIER. Another thing though, the difficulty spike is vertical. And it is no joke. Around Urban Plague~ you'll begin to face the receptions that feel like a literal hellspawn whos only purpose is to make your life a living hell. Despite that though, there are so many different cheese builds in-game that you can use to possibly pass some of these fights. (I recommend using them on your first playthrough). This review might be a genuine nothing burger, but I shall post it to ensure at least *someone* doesn't want to pull their hair out whilst playing it. Overall, 10/10. Would suffer again. 👍

Play it. I don't care about your experiences with annoying 14 year old Limbus Company fans. Just play it.

This game asks such daring questions as, "Can you forgive people who broke you so hard you became someone else?" "What does it mean to be a human in a world that denies the humanity of everyone that lives in it?" and in my opinion, the most important one of all; "What if the feds were hot goth girls?"
