This game is the definition of "okay" and I would have given it a thumbs side ways if that was possible. Its definitely worth the 20$ just with the interesting battles and overworld captures for the first ~10 hours. The next 30 however drag on because of lots of annoying bugs, missing quality of life features, and a pretty dull story (which does get better in the last hour ). Some feedback for the dev's: 1. Spread the Animon out more to fill up the screen - when they hit their final evolutions, its like they smush on top of each other and you can't see anyone. 2. You should not have to have the animon in your party to access its elemental holokon ability. 3. There's a certain boss fight after the last town that has a monster thats way too over scaled (primalong) and its a very un-natural jump that grinding won't solve. You have to quite literally stack agility decrease moves otherwise being +20 levels will still get you no where. 4. Exploding mouse animon are not fun or engaging. 5. Lost animon dissapearing when you reload a save is extreemely frustering especially when you can accidentally kill them. 6. The game feels the same at every town, same dynamics, same mediocre/easy fight, and same tiny un-interesting vague bread crumb of Trey's past. Either skip the yapping or give more about the story in each spot to make it worth playing. 7. Special/hidden animon evolution requirements are not fun under any circumstance

So, this is coming from a big fan of Pokémon since Red and Blue on the Gameboy and i can firmly say that this game is what i wanted from pokémon all along. i also played their fangame called Pokémon Xenoverse and it was soooo good. So, what do i like from the game, almost everything not gonna lie. The music is great, the artstyle is what i vibe with the most tho. the creatures are so well done. i also like all the mechanics around the Holoken, really nice. for the story, its ok, not insane but not bad either :) For what i don't like/would want to have in the game as qol, please, make it that we can TP to fountain :') would be so much better! oh and maybe a coop mode? the game could be easily strutured around coop imo but what can i say, i'm not a programmer so i can't say for sure ahah All in all, that game is a love letter to the rpg creature collector genre so if you like pokémon, you won't regret this game at all. for me, it was a must buy and i already have put 42 hours in the game. 9/10 thanks Beehive Studios for that great game <3

Great Game, Great Monster Collector. I really hope they add DLC content for new areas and Animon to expand the world. Ignore the negatives about bugs and infinite loading in area 1 etc. Dev's hotfixed it within 24hrs of release already.

Besides the bugs, I've enjoyed the game so far. My takes: -Some people hate the story/dialogue of the game but i've enjoyed it personally. -Soundtrack is amazing, LIKE amazing amazing. -Visuals are super nice. -Gameplay is great, I like the variety of the elements that we get, its super nice. -Bugs are being fixed, which is GOOD since I did get softlock and lost about 40 min of progress. I know lots of people probably looking at the negative reviews and thought "nah, its not worth it", try it, especially if you love games like pokemon/digimon etc. I've been waiting for a good game for this genre for a while and this is, I would say it's one of the best pokemon-esque game on steam as of now. To those who I conflicted on buying this, if you like game of this genre, its worth the price. Also Vortail FTW
