This is very strong recommend for me if you can enjoy 10 hours of content at this price. I'm not seeing much attraction in continuing to play, personally. I will put it on my "circle back" list but it seems unlikely that I will do more than 1 or 2 runs if I ever come back. NOTE: It starts a little slow/hard (as many of these games do). Don't give up after 1 or 2 runs, give it 3. (Spend your first points on the burn/fire tree to match your wand.) Save your cash to buy a gold wand (enemies drop gold) which costs about $15,000. Don't spend cash on anything else until then. Meta currency is always the most important thing in these games.
What a gen of a game.. visually and overall vibe is fantastic for Survivor Like fans. If you enjoy such games this one should be on your short list. I continue to keep coming back to it and plan on 100% this one eventually. I will say the first 4 hours for me had me stuck on the first level till I figured out all the leveling up and once I did that I started to really push through the content and its overall great. Love the Frog vs Chicken concept and it works with great visuals humor and bosses. Some work could be done on the Hub and UI as it can be VERY difficult to read some elements on a handheld PC but style wise I love it. The hub can be annoying and wish some games just used good menus rather than walking around for no reason to each area. A proper stat or profile page would be appreciated as well. Devs are active and add some serious content from time to time as well. If you are a fan of Survivor Like games I can 100% recommend this gem... you will not be let down. Put some time into it and the light bulb will fire up and you wont be able to stop.
As someone that had at one point 100%d vampire survivors, this game has managed to scratch that itch. For it's price alone the amount of content and effort put into this game was genuinely surprising. The sound track and art style further amplify the already good gameplay loop and story that the game builds. On top of that the consistent updates and support from the devs has made this game more than worth it. Definitely a underrated indie gem
