Behind the shabby graphics and clumsy combat is a game that quietly devours whole weekends. At first it feels like a physics toy where a rider moves around on horseback with a lance, and then it becomes clear the real story is the wars, betrayals, and raids set in motion within it.

This game allows you to create your own hero in a medieval world... Also, you can choose which province/king to join. Each king/countie has it's own specification in the warfare, way they carry on a war/tactical engagement on the battlefiled. Through your progress, if you're recognized by your actions and performance, you're being involved in politics; which lord to support, which to vote for etc. You help them, they help you... In some time, when you feel strong and experienced, you can go AWOL-leave your king, and start your OWN career as an independent warlord! Remember, NOW you're on your own, no one will help you, EVERYONE is against you. BUT, hey ho, let them come!! You can command an army on the battlefield, recruit soldiers, take prisoners, sell them, attack cities... Too walls!!!

Mount & Blade is one of those games that grabs you and doesn’t let go. You start off broke, alone, and getting bullied by bandits — and before you know it, you’re leading a massive army, taking castles, and deciding the fate of entire kingdoms.

The game was way better than i anticipated. I played lot's of Warband and Bannerlord, but this is different. No overwhelming, unneeded features present, different map, a bit different factions, quirky animations, absurd simplicity. The OG Mount & Blade has the vibe that other MB's Don't, in my most humble opinion. As if it is the memory that isn't mine.

u can play this game over many times with multipal kingdoms never gets old there are a few programing glitches like your men getting stuck on the ladder during a siege very frustrating but over all this is a great game
