gameplay itself is quite cool BUT the translation of some parts is missing or incomprehensible, for example, charge or duel stance, what do they do, what is the difference between them? I have no idea lol some gear has passive perks, those sometimes upgrade when you upgrade the weapon/armor, sometimes the perk text changes and at lvl 1 its understandable and at lvl 2+ its half chinese (i think) and half english some cards spawn other cards in your hand, in some cases tho the spawned card is just mentioned by name and not shown so you have no idea whether you give yourself something useful or a disability until you take a leap of faith ima be honest, the gameplay is really fun, the translation on some things is really bad, at least as the first class, the slave sword and shield dude, most things were understandable and it was quite fun, on the woodcutter guy class the stances are not explained as far as i can tell and thus most cards you get for him are just gambling that it does something useful because the text doesnt explain what they do, I recommend the game because it was quite fun and realistically speaking the tranlation cant get worse but it can get better and there is a decent amount of content available as far as i can tell

Cool game, innovative, refreshing and fun. You are a gladiator that builds combat deck and collect equipment and all revolves around battles where you prepare your moves ahead and then let it duel. The good stuff: - tactical battles with positioning and timing being the key - stuff to unlock, but not necessary to beat the game - multiple characters with different play styles and for each play style you can use different approach - simple but nice graphics, simple and effective UI The bad stuff: - bad english translations (some card description are hard to understand, some are missing entirely) - hard time to understand the mechanics (partly because of the terrible english, partly because the tutorial explains only the very basics) - the timing which is essential in this game is not properly and clearly displayed and often the timing aspec of specific card is missing entirely in the card description - even after 10 hours I still sometimes dont pick a card during selection because I dont understand what it could do - game content could be richer Summary: Without the "bad stuff" this game would be absolutely awesome. But devs seem to hear out these complains, they already released update to english translation recently and they promised to release another after acknowledging the above described concerns (especially the missing timing descriptions). Btw I would recommend this game even if it stays like this.

kind of a mix of Your only move is hustle and Slay the spire. Neat single player game, pretty fun. I would find more enjoyment with a custom run option or custom build deck.

I grabbed it on a whim, and I have not regretted my purchase at any point. It's challenging, fun, has great unlocks and progression, it looks good and has simple controls. There isn't anything to complain about as there is a solid amount of content already and it's been glitch free. It has perma-death, but character level carries over, and it auto-saves when you close out. It does not have any real feel of gladiatorial combat other than a nod to the setting, so if you're looking for something decidedly Romanesque, this is not it. I bought it expecting more of that theme and flavor, and while it isn't there, I don't miss it at all. I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes next.

Look. Its rough. Really rough. The tooltips really dont explain anything and it seems like a lot are place holders. It would be improved with an encyclopedia and locking toolbars so you can hover over items. That said. Its really fun. You learn by playing and doing. To find out the right combinations. It definitely needs improvements but the base game is fun and I do recommend it.
