This is the type of game where I wish there was a "meh" rating. The game is solid, polished, and has a solid core. There are lots of the correct pieces here but the whole experience kinda just falls flat. The battles are so chaotic and you have so little feedback to what is happening and what parts of your build are going well and what parts are going poorly. I either faceroll everything or my build just completely flops and there is near zero way to let me know why. I like it overall but will shelve this until major improvements are made.

The people saying there are no builds or anything just quit before you got far into the game. Sure it's repetitive, but it's a roguelike. There's plenty of variance with builds, you just have to have points on the character. But as a TLDR ; games fun if you like typical roguelikes such as ror2, just that your mobs are attacking and not you. If you ever wanted a good necro game this is it. As an edit: Devs, if you remove the auto battler tag the game will get better reviews. The average chess board Andy is going to review bomb this.

Dopamine hooked straight to your veins. It’s like playing a summon necromancer in Diablo 2, except the necromancer is the entire game and every mechanic has been min-maxed for maximum enjoyment.

Deep and interesting horde-building roguelike. Unlike similar games like Hive Blight, the game encourages players to experiment with new builds DURING a run. This is because once you obtain a set bonus, that bonus is permanent even after selling the units you used to obtain it. So the meta here will be something like: buy units A-F, get their set bonuses, sell them, then buy units G-M which are the optimal units to benefit from those set bonuses. On top of that, there are already five or six playable character-skulls that play completely differently and interact with units uniquely. I've just scratched the surface.

I love this game, it's so stupid but fun. At the end of the run, there's a summary, but I have no idea what the numbers mean - there are only symbols that I don't know how to interpret. Please but text hints on the symbols so I know what my unit did. Please fam!
