The only sad part is that this game pruves that EA CAN make good games and actively chooses not to.

excellent game i didn't expect to fully understand the story and enjoy it, because before this game i knew nothing about Star Wars universe except the lightsabers... the game does a great job introducing this world and explaining some of the past events and characters to none/new Star Wars fans through descriptions and dialogs. level design is so creative and engaging it makes you want to explore everything a planet has to offer, mix that with the beautiful visuals you will forget what reality is. unlike a lot of people i didn't find the hologram map annoying, cause i played Doom games which they have similar map design but i understand the frustration, you gotta keep checking the map every new area you enter so you don't get lost, but the game does show where the main objective is and undiscovered areas are hidden until you visit them. i personally would not call it a souls-like game, it's more like an adventure game like uncharted than a souls borne, it does have some souls elements and you do feel that souls heat at one point of the game, but it's more forgiving and chill. i played it on the hardest difficulty and it feels pretty balanced, bosses are challenging but are not that many that's why i would consider it as an adventure game. 8.5/10

Fallen Order is a mix of Uncharted and souls-like games, and it works really well. I played for about 20 hours, and it was never dull—always something fun to do. The story is fantastic, making you really invested in Cal Kestis’s journey. The game combines Uncharted's exploration and platforming with the challenging combat typical of souls-like games. You get to use lightsabers and Force powers, which is super satisfying. It feels like you’re really in the Star Wars universe, taking on Stormtroopers and uncovering secrets. Overall, it’s a great experience that keeps you hooked!

EN : Star Wars is a saga that I’ve often enjoyed for its games and its expanded universe, but that never stops disappointing me with its movies. And so, this Fallen Order confirms it for me. So, what about this game? The game starts with a good bit of staging during the tutorial. Then, as early as the 1st planet, you find yourself fairly frustrated, mainly because the game wants to be a metroidvania action-adventure (no, it’s not a souls-like, even though it borrows a few ideas). And so, exploration will be done through back-and-forth trips once the new abilities are acquired, which, in itself, could be a good idea, but really makes the beginning of the adventure nice but nothing more, which almost made me drop it. But once you get past a certain point, and once our Padawan gets his talents back, it simply becomes a real pleasure and finally gives that feeling of playing a Jedi like it rarely has been. I have to say the gameplay works rather well. On the planets and exploration side, there are ideas, some good panoramas, but I find it still quite restrained considering what this franchise could bring, but it’s not a deal-breaker. As for the story, well it will be like with the gameplay: the characters aren’t really charismatic (except BD-1 lol), but you end up letting yourself get pulled into the adventure. The big plus, in the end, of this story is that it makes us feel our character’s passage from Padawan to Jedi, and that part is successful. Special mention to the music, which wonderfully picks up John Williams’ themes and makes them its own perfectly throughout the adventure. Conclusion: this Fallen Order is a good, enjoyable game once you get past the first few slightly dull hours. You still end up getting attached to the characters, and the gameplay becomes a real pleasure: you really feel like you’re playing a Jedi, like it has rarely been done. For the price it costs during sales periods, clearly, it’s worth it.
