The game really does a good job at thinking your choices matter, but they don't. The story is a bit predictable, but still hits even when you know what is going to happen. A great reason for that is the almost inch perfect use of sound cues and music. I do hope that for the time/price ratio they will not be releasing a continuation of this game as a separate game, but instead maybe an update or DLC with a lighter price.

I just finished it and I think I need to sit down for like a few days. So good! Amazing storytelling. Kind of wish there was an endless mode to the job part though.

Pros: - love the game mechanics and tieing in the sounds and after work sounds into one of the moments of story. - clean, well made - story was so intriguing Cons: - Left wanting so much more (not necessarily bad) wish it was 10x longer.

What about the cat?! Super fun game, but way too short. There were so many moments where I was like, "yooo, no way!" or "ohhh, I knew it!" Was absolutely engrossed by this game. Would love to see more like it.

I have very mixed feelings regarding this game, mostly because the play time is so short at about 3 hours. The game is a bit of a paradox in that it is incredibly well made, with a level of attention to detail that shows a high degree of passion and care went into making it, while at the same time being incredibly short. Think of a AAA game with only the first level. Clearly the quality is top-notch but it's a bit baffling someone would put so much work into something so short. This makes it almost feel like a long demo. I really liked most of the game, and there is a level of attention to detail and craftsmanship present that all but the best indy titles usually lack. If there was more story so that the game ran 10-20 hours, it would be an easy 9/10, $40+, best game I've played this year. In it's current state, however, I feel like its worth about $10. So, given its currently priced at $14, what's my final conclusion? Tepid recommend. I loved every minute, but given that there were so few of them, I feel a bit conflicted given the price. I just really hope to see more in the future from this developer. Make an Operator 2 with at least 10 hours of runtime, price it at ~$30 and you'll have me banging down your door to play. Also, for those wondering, the game plays like a linear narrative adventure. Your choices don't matter, but there is some light puzzling and detective work to keep you engaged. The game seems heavily inspired by Hacknet and Orwell, which is a great thing in my book. Edit: Oh yes, I should mention it runs flawlessly on Windows 7
