Sept. 2025
The RPG is a minimalist loot goblin simulator dungeon-crawling adventure with light RPG elements, streamlined everything, and goofy side quests. This is probably the dumbest game I've ever played, but I had a great time with it. Story Trapped in a strange fantasy kingdom after the Glitchy Dragon destroyed its only bridge, you must steal everything test your mettle in the local Dungeon to convince the "Cool King" that you are, in fact, also cool. The story is ridiculous and predictable, but entertaining. Gameplay Fundamentally, a first-person quest-driven RPG: basic combat, skill points at level up, a small open world, and a multi-level dungeon with bosses and occasional platforming. Can switch between default "Adventurer" difficulty to "Story" (deal more/take less damage) or "Challenge" at any time. Controls. Playable with a controller, but the camera is slow even at max sensitivity. I found keyboard/mouse to be a smoother experience. Playtime. In Adventurer Mode, it took me ~8 hours to complete the game and all side quests while also exploring every area of the map. It took ~1.5 hours to speedrun Story Mode for a missed achievement. What Worked For Me ✅ Option to turn off animated dialogue. ✅ Simplified combat was silly and fun (but may feel monotonous). ✅ No inventory management; useless items are converted to "loot." ✅ Explore the open world by foot, catapult, or portal. ✅ So many Easter Eggs. ✅ And so much looting. ✅ The "???" level. ✅ I need an entire biography about My Fan, please and thank you. What Didn’t Work For Me ❎ First-person camera can be rough, especially in Dragon's lair . ❎ Occasionally froze on loading screen when entering the Dungeon. ❎ Occasional visual glitch caused loot counter to shake. ❎ Monsters sometimes froze after player death. ❎ Object rendering is janky; enemies may materialize in your path. ❎ Limited NPC dialogue. Final Thoughts + Recommendation The RPG opens with a shameless Skyrim parody followed by the most pointless character creator (and censorship) on Steam, and keeps that vibe going throughout the campaign. It's a lot of well-worn tropes lovingly wrapped in dumb jokes, environmental humor, basic combat, and all the jankiness you might expect from a solo dev's first game. It's also charmingly goofy and accessible. The RPG does a great job of streamlining every crunchy aspect of traditional RPGs: junk items are converted to units of "loot" to trade for gold, while key items are displayed at the bottom of your screen; gear is upgraded progressively; most quests are resolved with minimal fuss; and combat is reduced to a few buttons, which can feel repetitive but refreshing. There's no real penalty for getting smashed by golems, no time pressure, and plenty to discover across the map. I recommend checking this out if you want good dumb fun and a single-player adventure that lets you steal everything, catapult yourself across the world, and dungeon dive without thinking too hard about your character build or learning new controls. I had fun with it, it really scratches the Supraland itch. I ran in to quite a few bugs, some will entirely lock you out of quests. The developer has been very responsive and is patching them, so this is a big thumbs up from me.

Very enjoyable fun little tongue-in-cheek looter, spent a couple solid hours in the full game after release and a couple in the demo before that, pretty cool that i could carry on my save from it too, full of cheeky references here and there, character development is simple but the progression still feels rewarding and simplifying the inventory means more time for adventuring, and there's plenty to do all round the Island. On top of all that the combat feels really good, you have some mobility and style options, sometimes you don't even need to fight, but when you hit something it'll know about it. A+ across the board from me personally
