Smurfs 2 is better in pretty much every way you can think of, but this is still good fun. A bit on the easy side, but never really boring. A nice relaxing experience.

It was a fun game for sure, the end is much harder though but still ok.

It was a fun game, glad I bought it on sale. I did run into an issue straight away, it's the jumping issue and how to lower FPS to 60 which is lame and some stuttering or camera issues. But I still enjoyed the game.

First encountered on an edition of Salarn's Steam Cleaning series, I watched his first impressions session and was interested enough to buy the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdUn3CVjhRs The Smurfs weren't a hot property during my childhood several decades ago, so I have to wonder if anyone still cares about the Smurfs in the 3rd millennium A.D. I'm just here for the colorful and lighthearted action/adventure 3D platforming gameplay. From watching Salarn's video, my interest was in the relaxed gameplay and potential satisfaction of 'healing' the levels. Yes, I had some casual 3d platforming fun with this. It was well-timed after my tense and very solemn playthrough of Prey (2017) [Steam review pending]. There's no question in my mind that I can recommend the game. The question is whether I want to go back to 100% complete this game. It would be a task, since I've already replayed some of the levels and been unable to find all the collectibles by just running through them again. Guides would be needed. It might be best for me to just move on to the next game.

Generally a pretty good game, if you're going into it with realistic expectations. It's definitely a kids' game, so if you're an adult looking for a challenge, look elsewhere. The final level has some parts that can be frustrating, with long stretches in between checkpoints where Gargamel's lantern can sometimes seemingly teleport right across the map to kill you with no warning. Beyond that, it's a relaxing and simple game. I would not pay full price for it, though, because realistically there's only between 3 to 6 hours of content depending on your playstyle (going straight for the objective, or taking the time to clear/gather things along the way). €20 is a bit steep for the amount of content, but on sale it's definitely worth it.
