I was skeptical about this game after buying several MotoGp games with limited enjoyment and I must say, I'm hooked on this game! It is soooo cool flying along like a crazy Manxman on the TT courses. Being a motorcycle rider myself, it is pretty close to lifelike, especially the way the bike reacts when you get into a turn too hot. I wish the game had some instructions about how to get back to the main menu as I went online and found out to hit the "P" key to get to the main menu. It also will not let me tailor the keyboard to my liking which I'll have to Google to see how to do this. There is no instruction sheet or anything on the login which is where I logically would have placed it. Strange setup! All in all I love this game! My brother has a former neighbor who is originally from the UK and he moved to the Isle of Man and invited us to see the race whenever we want. After playing this, I can't wait to see it in person!

TT Isle of Man: Race on the Edge 3 was one of the most disappointing and aggravatingly difficult racing games I have ever played when I first started. I was fresh off TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 2 which I grew to love after I grew accustomed to its steep learning curve. I was winning races, I bought a litre bike and I was getting into a groove. I could complete entire races with no crashes and every day I could tell I was improving. Trackable progress really jimmies my jams and I was loving the game whenever I sat down to play. I felt like a real cool biker dude. Then on August 25th, 2025 I received the email notification that Ride on the Edge 3 was on sale for $10. Oh dang. I have $10 right now. I read the Steam reviews. People either seemed to really hate the game or really love it. I hemmed. I hawed. I was torn. I was really getting a feel for Edge 2 but the sweet dopamine call of a new game with better graphics and a higher difficulty? I couldn't resist. What followed was a lesson in patience and humility. First off, Edge 3 throws you into an open world map. I rode around for a bit, trying to get a feel for the game. It felt different from Edge 2 but that was to be expected. New developer, more focus on a sim experience. I was falling over and crashing more than I wanted to. Even though I was disappointed that my skills from the 2nd game didn’t seem to carry over as much as I’d hope I was still intrigued. Sometimes you just gotta lay ‘er down. With my interest peaked I went into the first qualifying race that is available to you when you start a new game. This is when I started to learn a lot of very hard lessons over the course of the next 5 hours of playtime. When you begin the qualifying event a 30 minute timer begins to count down. During this time you can race the track as much as you want and whatever your best track time is solidifies your position in the actual race. It’s very straight forward but I did not understand this. I would begin, do well until a certain corner and then bite it hard. Instead of just getting back on my bike I would restart the qualifying event, which means the 30 minute countdown would begin again. I did this for hours. When I finally did a little online research I realized that I’m a total bonehead and shouldn’t let one crash restart my whole run. After about 5 hours I had a good qualifying time, first place and I was ready to use that as my qualifying position. This is where you learn that you have to be very careful of your menu selection. You have 3 choices. Skip, end and quit session. If you choose anything other than end session you will lose your progress and you will have to restart the qualifying event if you want a good starting position for the first official race. Guess what I did? I quit out, lost my progress and decided to not bother with qualifying and just start the race. This was 6 hours into the game. My first race I came in 5th and decided to move forward with the next qualifying event. With a handful of hours under my belt I set a decent qualifying time, upgraded my bike a bit and won the 2nd official race. I’m not quite 7 hours in but I am hooked and I’ll be playing the game on a regular basis, until I receive the notification that Ride 5 is on sale. In conclusion, this is not the Dark Souls of motorcycle racing games. It’s the Sekiro. If you understand what I mean by that statement and you’re intrigued, then I recommend you try this game with the intention of learning how to play it the way the developers intended.

This game has the best feeling motorcycles I have ever experienced in a racing title. The handling is responsive, weighty, and genuinely exciting, which makes just riding around the map a joy. In fact, it feels a lot like Rims 2 in a good way, and the open-world map is a fantastic addition for those times when you just want to ride without the pressure of racing. That said, the game does have some issues. The biggest problem is multiplayer. Ongoing races don’t show up, which makes finding and joining an online race incredibly difficult. A simple fix here would greatly improve the community experience. Another feature that feels missing is a rewind function, which would be very welcome for a game that demands such precision. Customisation would also go a long way: being able to create your own rider and apply cosmetic changes to your bike would add replay value and personal flair. Despite its flaws, this is still one of the best motorcycle games available right now. The bike physics are so satisfying that I find myself constantly coming back to it, and that alone makes it easy to recommend.
