I'll write a full review once i get further in the game and have a more firm grasp on the mechanical intricacies , but here's a little something in the meantime in case you're on the fence about this one: This is not a fetish game, at least not in the way people generally use that term. There is no titillation involved with the piss mechanic(s). Urine is abundant, but its inclusion is all body-horror focused, with a truly wild narrative reason backing it up. I find fetish content generally repulsive, and despite going into the game feeling as though i'd be grossed out, I was pleasantly surprised to find the game grotesque without it being especially vulgar or off-putting. About the gameplay: The game is difficult and unforgiving. Some of the items necessary to follow the story are extremely well hidden, and will require eagle-eye focus related to context clues and environmental detail. The crafting system is quite robust, and i find it very well organized and easy to contend with. Combat is simple, the selection of weapons I've managed to find have a really unique style to them, and it is a lot of fun to engage enemies -- that is, when you're able to without getting overwhelmed or risking an increase in the hazardous fog. Speaking of the fog, that's the game's on-the-fly difficulty modifier, and it can take your experience from a relatively easy time to a god-awful, overwhelming hellride. When the difficulty suddenly spikes because you forgot to manage your character's actions, the world changes. Greater amounts of enemies spawn, with new variants depending upon your fog level. There's more to it than that, but I don't want to spoil the fun. It's a real "Fuck around and find out" philosophy, and each incident that makes your world spiral out of control is an opportunity to learn your limitations and weigh the risks in future encounters. I'm going to close the review out on this note: At some point during the game I stopped playing momentarily because a thought hit me: This game is at the aesthetic intersection of Silent Hill 2 and Postal 2, with mechanical similarities to early-game Kenshi. I'll elaborate more on this in my full review.

I want you to know, EnDrew, I love this game. I've played a bit, kept close tabs since, and you are a literal horror genius. That being said, I myself am awful at horror games, and too spooked to play alone anymore. I built three walls inside a singular doorway to keep a chainsaw dude out and I was never the same. But I see you. I appreciate you. One day, I'll play your game. Just know, I'm very impressed. And I'm training to one day join this world.

Do you like survival games? Do you like exploration? Do you enjoy weird concepts? Are you not easily disgusted? If any or all of these are answered with "Yes!" then you're going to enjoy this game. It's a simple, if janky, survival game that is based on a gross yet interesting idea. For reasons you'll have to discover yourself, urine has become this... biological hazard. Food, water, sleep, none of this is really focused on. Instead, it's the buildup and careful management of your waste. Relieving yourself just anywhere leads to a buildup of a hazardous chemical in the atmosphere, summoning more and stronger monsters as it gets worse. Weird? Yes. Compelling? Extremely. Give it a shot.
