In most ways, this is a better sequel to The Forest than Sons of the Forest was I had a blast playing through this game and I'm sad I completed it! As someone looking for a really good singleplayer survival/base-building game, this game scratched all of the itches that games like Subsistence and Sunkenland couldn't For the first 10-15 hours, I slowly pieced the world's cryptic logic together - scavenging and fighting with scraps. It definitely felt like The Forest as I hit up POI's, fought strange enemies and gathered new gear The world quickly ramped up and became dangerous with the fog, the game's world threat that increases from interacting with Urlid - which you can do in a lot of ways. It changes the weather, atmosphere, enemy types and enemy presence. Accidentally progressing the fog basically ruined my saves and I started over a couple times. I was confused. I tried looking for guides and since the game is so niche, there was really not much info. And so I figured out what I could, locked in and kept pushing forward. For the next 10-15 hours, I adapted my approach - scavenging more cautiously, slowly building up a base in a church, I learned how to keep the elusive fog at bay through cryptic hints in the game and experimentation, I learned the map inside and out, and it felt awesome to (mostly) figure out everything on my own. It was refreshing compared to a lot of games. Scavenging runs I could start doing on the back of my hand - I had my favorite routes, built bridges and ladder paths to my favorite spots, and the enemies started to become less of a threat. It felt more like Far Cry 2 as I got more well-equipped, shedding primitive weapons for a battle car straight out of Dawn of the Dead and military grade weapons With the fog threat finally kept at bay, a protected base - massive farm - and urlid purifier setup - and most of my stats maxed out and with the game's highest end gear - I spent the final chunk exploring any remaining POI's and completing the story. The ending gave big Half Life/Sons of the Forest vibes - and I hope EnDrew has a sequel in mind

I pissed in a toilet and a worm tried to eat my face so I started pissing outside. Within a day the Mexico filter was in full effect and then shortly after hellspawn were at my door in numbers I can only imagine to be around 20 since I was too terrified to go outside to check. I spent a day huddled up upstairs hearing gunfire, thunder, wailing, moaning, bugs, and explosions all at the same time. I gotta piss again.. Send help.

Urine for a great time, this game has the potential to be pee-k. Ammonia little bit into my first run, but I've also seen plenty of gameplay from others. Trust me, you don't want to piss out on this one
