Been keeping a close eye on this game for months now. A few updates ago it felt lackluster and lacked depth. However the devs are amazing. You can tell they care about this game. They listened to feedback and implemented it. Been having a blast with the new update :D For anyone who played this before and didnt like it. Check it out now. it feels like a different game in the best way possible

the first about 10 hours are decent / good after that you get a decent size horde and you can consistently fill the screen unfortunately, that is the bad point. you got the great horde, but it nullifies most of the game your primary increase of the horde is dead enemies. but because of your own horde, you cannot see if there are any left and in which direction your secondary is circles and graves. guess where those are. under your horde. invisible then there is the enemy firing exploding sheep. yep, those are marked on the ground under your horde one of the good things when you start is that you can decide if you want to go against a group of mobs or not. when your horde covers the screen, you cannot make that decision, because you are unable to see far enough past your edge troops all of this could be solved easily with zoom, but ... apparently we are not getting that my alternative solution to zoom: merging minions into higher lvl minions. it would reduce everything, from lagg to space taken by your horde, etc my second gripe is with the skills. b.1 the skills are random. that is poo. there are so many poo skills, you can go through your rerolls and bans and still get a full list of them to choose from. one time i rerolled crap full skills 4 times in a row in the same lvl up on top of that, your level ups are rare, so good luck reaching the greatest build you wish for b2 the effect of the skills is very unclear, since we do not have the base values of the horde third gripe: minnions and enemies are moving away when i try to move the horde to protect said minions and attack with more minions the enemies

Gameplay is meh, it's mostly carried by goth fetish mommy vibes and necromancy being an extremely rare playstyle that a lot of people want to play but that most games simply don't cater to. Quality is close to a very well made flash game but for $5 you're definitely coming out on top. That being said I would personally prefer much weaker per-level buffs with faster leveling, rather than what seems to be very strong buffs at stretched out intervals. All that being said, in comparison to other games of the same style? The game sorely lacks content. Still recommend, but you're getting a lot less bang for your buck than literally every other survivor-type game I've seen.

I like the game BUT you should be aware this is early access and it does show in that there is still work to do. My biggest issue currently is honestly just the difficulty of the game. I have all dominion (your base) upgrades and I can't even do kingdom lvl 2 and barely finished Hell lvl 1. There are the forbidden experiment upgrades but those dont really help all that much (especially considering just how long it takes to grind them). Magic damage skills feel way too weak when you consider leveling is very slow. That being said raising a gigantic army feels fun af, even if having too many did kill me on hell a couple of time since I couldn't see the lava pools anymore...

It's a fun and interesting take on the Vampire Survivors formula, but at this stage in EA, it still feels very bare bones. I have high hope for it though in future updates. So all in all it's a fun lil time waster, but not as fully realized or has that same addictive gameplay loop like VampSurv or Megabonk
