It's another game in the Hand of Fate universe. Even though it's massively scaled down in scope, it still feels great to be back and hear Anthony Skordi once again. Pros: + Familiar faces and card art from previous HoF games used in a new way, to vary up a Survivor-like game. + You get to feel like you're becoming powerful in a short amount of time, and you don't feel like you wasted 20 minutes if you lose, either. + It actually runs surprisingly well, considering how poorly optimized their previous games were. It seems like they made that a priority this time around. + Music as always is lovely. Cons: - It's early access, some promised features like Deckbuilding are not in the game yet. - Some art assets lack polish like the token rewards and the Main Menu. - I just want more animations of the dealer manipulating the cards, I miss that. - Not enough Narrative content, which I believe is this team's greatest asset. It's an example of a beloved IP being used in a crowded genre, sure, but I can't lie and say I haven't enjoyed playing it so far and am already looking forward to updates! 8/10.

I like Brotato and Vampire Survivors. I also like Hand of Fate 1 and 2. As far as I can tell, this is a total asset flip of Hand of Fate into a bullet heaven and I love that for us. Its still very early in development and somehow the deck building isn't even in yet but I'm running around as Hubie dropping exploding chickens and that means its goated. The perfect game to tide me over until HAND OF FATE 3 PLEASE GOD TELL ME ITS POSSIBLE

Keeps that original Hand Of Fate vibe with the cards, minigames, and the sexy narrator. On top of that you get an addicting gameplay loop with rarity colors and slot machine elements. What more do you need?

I only got 90 minutes in, but it seems to be everything on the tin so far. It is still early access, but it seems to be hitting those Hand of Fate vibes while doing this dungeon bullet hell/heaven stuff. So far, I ran into no bugs or performance issues. The deck building component isn't in the game yet and I am guessing that I will be liking it a lot more when it does get added. For now though, its fun for what it is, but I imagine I will get bored before too long.

Well animated, and so far well balanced. The feature to build your deck is yet to be released due to early access, but it doesn't get in the way of having fun. The levels are short but challenging, the meta improvements and unlocks are varied, plentiful, and diverse. I will say that the meta improvements (perma unlocks for future runs) are perhaps the least interesting part of the game, being "add 1% to this" or "+2 defence". So I'd like to see that changed to be more interesting and meaningful. All said, even early on I can tell this is already one worth playing and one worth watching.
