The man who scripted and hired a japanese voice actor to voice a cat girl is some man of culture. Is this abuse, i dont know the VA agreed to it lol. Really a for sale game only. The game does not have 1440p native support, but you can force it weirdly with alt-enter. As far as i can tell it just goes to 16:9 1440p on my ultrawide monitor. While the gameplay is fun enough be warned of the ineptly put togeather port from what was originally a PS vita game. There is forced aim assist when zooming in with no way to turn off even when playing KB+M. support for 30 and 60 fps only with no uncap frame rate support. Official support for 720p, 1080p and 4k only. As far as i can tell this is some hack job of an engine or unity, no idea really there is mod support if you look hard enough but nothing that will fix the technical faults.
It's a fun little game. There are no F2P mechanics- no gachas, no premium currencies, no cash shop. You just play through the story and get all girls, weapons and skills. And the whole game costs less than a 10-pull. Controls felt a bit clunky at first, but there was nothing I couldn't get used to after playing a few missions. Unlike in newer UE5 titles, performance here is flawless. FPS counter never dropped below 60, while using less than 3% of GPU and CPU. Graphics are surprisingly good in all the right places that actually matter. Voice acting is awesome. You can pick a character, and she'll comment as you navigate around the UI. The game also features vehicle combat. I got more than I expected.
I didn't play OG Bullet Girls games, so if there are TRUE enjoyers, please understand. Girls with guns...and swords...and staves...and magic crystals. Okay, yeah, sure. I was just actually just curious if there is anything more to this game than just being "gooner slop" as some people call such games. Let's see what we got here. + Character designs are alright. + Jiggly physics are jiggly. Sometimes too jiggly even. + Music is passable. Repetitive but passable. Not too annoying luckily. + No sound problems: no sudden sound blasting, bass boosts and such. + "Drilling" mini-game allows you to be on both sides and with two girls. + Races variety. + Gameplay is okay. It even has some depth within, but don't expect much. + Enemy variety. + I didn't encounter any bugs. + Customization has both aesthetic and gameplay value. +- Story exists. +- No males were invited to this party of pretty girls. +- Sadly the game was ported not from the strongest console, so locations look...not that good and there are not that many of them. They do try to mix them though. +- You need to collect customization items from enemies. And some require story progression. - I said that there are no sound problems, but there is one annoying thing. To traverse faster and dodge enemies, you need to dash. Dashing makes girls to breathe loudly. Constantly. And some "breathing loops" are too noticable which makes them annoying. - Characters are boring. They are mostly archetypes to suit audience preferences. I dunno how but Senran Kagura girls have more personality to them(not a LOT but point still stands). I'll probably forget them tomorrow. - Game ends on cliffhanger. 6 years later and I still don't see a continuation, so it's safe to assume there is probably not gonna be any. - Some cutscenes being just PowerPoint presentations is funny. Guyyys, you have the animation of dragon flying, why just not use it? If you want just turn off your brain, shoot some things and enjoy some pretty girls with jiggly physics this game is for you. It may get repetitive and grindy though. But if you just want to kill some time, it's a safe choice. To be completely safe, buy it on sale, if you are not sure.
