I originally was like, eh idk if I should get it, and then I did and I don't regret it. i'm not map-editor pilled, you can tell by the games I play, I'm a noob with creativity. I felt like this really snapped for me and really gave me an outlet. I feel like you can really get into the fine details of the map you build and the size of them is impressive. The dev seems like he cares, and its his passion project which is super cool. keep up he good work! Id like to see more workshop items for the game like cool mods. Id like to see other creators' stuff. Id also like to see more stuff for building cities like gallows or graveyards. I also feel like there is a lack of military or war stuff. Id like to see fallen horses, men, and more crumbled ruins. This is not to say the game has not much stuff, there is a lot to put down. I currently listen to the skyrim ambience and zone out in this game, its the best way to play. 10/10 from my experience, enough to make this my only serious review.

This program is incredible. She has her own unique style and is very flexible. Very suitable for creating maps for dnd games. Personally, I have the main question - will there be an update that will help create not only cities, but also caves and dungeons?

only issue i have or really constructive criticism is, id love to have the ability to name my towns... Like a little box we could enter text into? Maybe like a banner or parchment paper outlined text box? Other than that Great tool for map making. You can be very detailed in this and I enjoyed bringing to page what was in my mind.

As an artist this is a great little program for the untrained but I find it lacking too many QoL features that make it worth using. Hopefully in the future as more features are added it might become powerful enough to replace hand drawn maps. Features I would really love to see; - Individual layers to manipulate individual objects within a stack. - Ability to marge multiple elements into a single element - Better accuracy when selecting overlapping or close elements (cannot select a randomly generated pillar because it is too close to another element, could also be solved with layers. - Larger rocks and geographic elements - Better junctions and forks for roads - ability to import images in order to "trace" that is to say, import a hand drawn map to function as an underdrawing/template of the map - Strategic/country sized mapping. Will hopefully update as I experiment more.

After just a short time using this application. I have a few suggestions for improvements. * Better tools for forking paths * Paths specifically for docks * More models (more models are always nice) * A way to avoid snapping (something like holding ctrl) * Some way for us to create custom areas (like castle courtyard, throne room, guardhouse) * More ways to modify paths using the cog wheel buttons (adding doors and windows to walls, gates to palisades (there is no palisade gate model that i saw btw)) * Global overlay effects (fog, map border) * Allow for multiple map views of the same map (something like LOD) Overall I am excited to see what else comes from Canvas of Kings
