Great atmosphere, questionable progress Fears to Fathom delivers that familiar creepy vibe once again, with great atmosphere, well-timed jumpscares, and that uncomfortable feeling that something is definitely not right. Unfortunately, this episode made it way too difficult to figure out what you’re actually supposed to do to progress the story. The objectives and next steps often felt unclear, which took me out of the experience more than once. The shopping section was probably the worst offender. Having to constantly check the shopping list from the SMS just to figure out what you’re even supposed to buy was more tedious than scary, and honestly felt like a huge waste of time. Still, when the game lets the atmosphere do the work, it’s classic Fears to Fathom and does a great job creating tension. I just wish the progression was a lot clearer this time around! 👻🏠📱😰

Fears to Fathom has been sitting in my library unplayed since episode 1, because I've always just found it too overwhelmingly scary. The atmosphere is just uneasy from the very start, like something really, really bad is going to happen. What makes F2F even more terrifying is that the episodes are inspired by realistic scenarios that could actually happen. I'm glad I went back and gave F2F another chance, these episodes are so hard to get through with the anxiety, but the concept is so, so effective.

Personally, my least favorite episode. Compared to other ones, the whole crazy ex-girlfriend thing feels less realistic for some reason. I know things like that do happen irl, but it has this movie-like quality to it, whereas other episodes feel more like real life experience. Still a great game though, many cool details and the atmosphere is top-notch as usual. The developer is truly a talented guy.

Fears to Fathom: Carson House does an excellent job turning ordinary situations into something genuinely unsettling. What starts as a simple house-sitting job slowly becomes more uncomfortable as strange interactions, subtle details, and a growing sense of paranoia make you question what's really going on. The game constantly had me feeling like something was off, even during the quieter moments. Like the other Fears to Fathom episodes, the horror comes from how believable everything feels. The environments, conversations, and everyday tasks create a grounded experience that makes the tension hit much harder. Another great entry in a series that understands real-life fear better than most horror games.
