If you're like me and you spend hours scrolling through Steam for a new souls-like because you've beat them all, buy this. 6/10 game It feels like Dark Souls 1 and Sekiro had a baby. However, if you aren't a hardcore souls fan, I'd skip it. This game was obviously designed by such fans, and for such fans. Pros: - Combat and boss fights can be very exciting and require 5-10 attempts to get the moveset down before you win. - Parrying is easy and feels rewarding - Nice customization for equipment (you get 12 ring slots basically) - No stamina bar (nice for some players not to have to worry about it) Cons: - Glitchy. You can get stuck on terrain, bosses hit you through walls/pillars. Can be frustrating. - No gear. You have the same sword the whole time. There's no armor to equip. You can change your skin only to maybe 5 options. - Exploring is not that rewarding. Mostly you are opening up shortcuts which are unnecessary because there is a waypoint nearby anyway. - I don't understand the quests or story at all. - Sometimes the dialogue went from English to Korean, then back to English lol It's definitely worth the $15 if you are out of games to play and looking for a souls-like to occupy you for a few days. That's probably the only scenario to buy it.

TL;DR Does it scratch the souls-itch? It does not. It SLAPS! The game doesn't hide its price. It's cheap. [*]UI is bad. [*] Story is meh. [*]Voice acting sounds OK. Audio is inconsistent. Some SFX choices are just poorly designed. You can hear room noise on some of dialogue voice over. Mixing is unbalanced, some of the dialogue get louder than the rest. [*]The character level system is oversimplified. Equipment and Skills looks like an after thought. Doesn't significantly change your play style. Build is virtually non-existent. [*]Balance is NOT FAIR . Playing with Hard difficulty feels like true souls game, but with 🐂💩 bosses, Literally, IMPOSSIBLE to beat. Killed by boss in 2-3 shots is not uncommon in souls game, but even with your maxed out characters, you will be facing brutal non-stop relentless attack, teleports, summons, AOE, without even giving you room to breath and heal just showing how inexperienced the devs was. [*] I prefer more balanced combat without difficulty options. Even Sekiro is way more playable without any difficulty options. But somehow the game still manage to deliver FUN souls experience. I appreciate the borrowed mechanics from Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Dark Souls while adding its own mechanic on top. What the game successfully delivered are the vibe and gameplay. Some natural instincts intuitively just kicked in, like playing Dark Souls, Sekiro and Bloodborne at the same time. With male MC designed similarly looking like Guts from Berserk, i could only assume the homage is successfully achieved. The visual design isn't the best, it's not bad either. The level design is "classic" souls game with locked unidirectional shortcut that circles back to where you're starting. I put my words and money on it as recommendation, because i am hoping the devs could make more and better game like this. if you love souls game, it's a no brainer.

A great indie soulslike made my 3 developers. Takes a little bit from dark souls, bloodborne, sekiro, Thymesia and khazan and mashes it up into this gem of a game. Some of the smoothest combat I have encountered in an indie game. The combat is simple yet surprisingly deep at the same time. The voice acting and story aren't the greatest, so don't go in expecting to be blown away by the story. Exploration is good, with some branching paths and shortcuts to find loot and treasure. Biggest gripe i have with the game is the lack of weapons and build variety. This game excels at combat and gameplay, so if you favor that in your soulslikes, be sure not to miss this game!

This game is really good. Shockingly impressive. very nice combat and performance and hitboxes. complex parry based bosses. good enemy variety and enemy attack moves. u have nice moves to do as well. decent exploration and scale. made by only 3 people which is really really impressive and it's very well optomized from day one. for $10 this is really big bargain. only issue with game is that it's too short at around 10-12 hours long and that exploration and scale could be better but then again only 3 people made this game. the focus is clearly bosses and they knocked it out of the park. it was a very good game, i just wish it was longer or that we get dlc's with bigger areas to explore. the castles btw were very well done with nice exploration and interconnectedness. the final boss was very complex it was very tight it was almost fromsoft caliber i was very very impressed by it. also game is friendly towards all players cause it has difficulty modes. that's my review if you read it, cheers. 8.8/10

It's a great game considering its made by a 3 man studio. Great level design, challenging boss fights (on hard mode), and fairly smooth combat. A+
