ok first off Square go suck a salmon, It's not about you anymore, just be thankful you could get in on this, and you owe thanks to Omega. Games great even now, though it looks ten times btter on here than ps4 runs better too. For those who still wonder about steam deck im failing to see any issues at all playing. the game runs better on deck than ps4, not sure what the complaint it. Are we gonna pretend it didn't run like a snail at times? personally I have not noticed personally any significant lag at any time. use current GE and it runs great. It also absolutely amazing to actually be able to see Maya fighting , the graphic are so good you can actually see more then just a flaming battlefield, it was like going from dvd to blu ray i suddenly can see all motion clearly.. Also though the graphics seem so much better thanks for not putting HD or Remastered on the title like its some service to your fans. To whom it may concern my gratefulness is directed at Omega Thank you. As for square! Give Final Fantasy to Sakaguchi. oh and just noticed it says 4.8 hours of play my save file has 10 hours clocked in at time of review.
Once you get past the poor optimization and get the game running properly, there’s a really fun action JRPG underneath. Despite being a musou game, it honestly doesn’t feel like one to me—the combat feels much closer to the modern Ys games, while the hubworlds slightly remind me of Twilight Princess. The combat is fast and satisfying, and the character variety, leveling, fun but limited vocation system, and weapon proficiency give the progression plenty to enjoy. The art and characters are great, and the simple, light-hearted story is exactly what you’d expect from Dragon Quest. Overall, I’d definitely recommend it to action JRPG lovers and Dragon Quest fans.
Ok... At this point I had played every single DQ franchise literally every single one except these heroes franchise. ... I just started playing this game I am not that much far in. I was reluctant to play this game because of those - reviews and a lot of luke warm comments, so I put this one off from my playlist. Now I am waiting for MHS 3 and Crimson Desert to be launched and quite bored so I reckon I tried this game. Let me PUT IT THIS WAY. EVERYTHING THE NEGATIVE COMMENT SAID IS TRUE. I dunno how many hours in this game now I know not much but only the last one hour before this comment is the actual play time. The rest of the time which I think should be around what 3 - 4 hours. I was literally trying to figure out how to actually able to play this game. 60fps capped. I literally tried every single way and still not able to get it off. But I tweaked a lot of things from Youtube, reddit , google, etc. and finally managed to play it in acceptable condition. The performance out of the box is man like terrible ngl. Its even 4 times more terrible than MH wilds at launch literally. After all that being said, finally playing for a bit and I know I will be hooked already. THIS GAME IS AWESOME AFTER YOU FIGURE OUT HOW TO MAKE IT ABLE TO PLAY IT. The game is really really good. I dunno which part of it is good but I am enjoying the whole package tbh. The whole vocation system, the gears and weapons upgrade system, the team building system, etc. everything man. Seriously why can't the dev do a better job at the performance. This game is just really good. Everything has in depth progression. I am enjoying it. SO TL:DR: get it on sales and seriously take like 2-3 hours figuring out how to make the game work. Then you will be hook. This is a great game. But bad port. DQ heroes 1 I played it a bit with console I did enjoy it but at that time tons of good games were coming out so I forgot abt that game. I will go back and play DQ heroes 1 on console after this game. Peep say DQH 1 has some better aspect.
this game provides a fun and fresh twist on the usual musou formula! wonderfully mixing the 1000v1 style with dragon quest themed visuals, music and mechanics to create a musou game that feels different as a koei hack n slash, but familiar as a jrpg/drag quest game. in addition, the game looks beautiful; characters and enemies pop out as a clear result of the cartoonish flair the dragon quest franchise possesses brought to life by modern graphics/engine. the story is a bit of a nothing burger as i found i cared very little for the two protagonists that lead this game; only redeemed by it's colorful cast of characters. i adore this game and highly recommend it for any musou enjoyer seeking a new twist on the formula, and specifically recommend to those who appreciate elements of jrpg (and/or dragon quest obvs).
