It's fun, but it'll never live up to Bean Battles! Note: The devs should 100% reach out to the creator of Bean Battles and see if there can be a Killer Bean/ Bean Battles bundle.

I'm straight up beaning it. Jokes aside, after around two years of waiting for this game's release, we got what I would like to call the base skeleton of what the game promises to be for future updates in future months, if it does happen if the project does continue, or is forgotten for some reason. After spending 2.6 playing around, messing with the settings, and seeing what it has to offer after like 4 to 5 missions?, There is definitely many areas that the game needs heavy polish. This are some issues I found while messing around: - Default Audio settings upon loading for the first time set at 0% - Inconsistent audio levels with sounds, such as explosions, killing beans, and weapons. - Dialogue tends to not play audio every once in a while. - Animations can sometimes break, unsure of how I could describe the ways you could replicate these animation issues yourself, but if you play around, you can see what I mean. (Some include common weapons not having proper reloads, and sometimes in First Person, you can be holding the Twin Dragon Pistols while also the pickable weapon, thought this is a visual bug) - Default camera sensitivity is very low. Thought this is a player's preference to change it to what you want. - Some weapons don't have ADS sensitivity when aiming, while some do. (There is also no setting to change ADS Sensitivity) - Uhh... I think that's all I can remember as of now, I'll update this if I remember some more, or find more. Outside of that, the game does feel repetitive after three missions. You go to an island, shoot some dudes, hack some things to hear the same dialogue to get info on your map (which the game doesn't tell you, but press TAB to access the map and some other info), and so on. This is saying it from someone who enjoys RPGs and has played some Roguelikes before. If you're into this type of pain, you don't mind the bugs and glitches, and want to shoot some beans to see them ragdoll and be John Killer Bean, then this one's for you. If you're reading this before purchase, and you're considering playing to truly become The Killer Bean, I recommend getting it when it gets on sale, as its currently still unpolished as of writing this. (This is my first time writing an extensive review for a game's release rather than just leaving a funny comment, I hope this information does serve you well if you're considering becoming John Killer Bean) [If only there was a recommendation that's between Yes and No, I would recommend this game in between, but for now, I will leave a positive review, as I did have some fun]

Good game. As for the bad reviews- this is an early access game made by ONE PERSON. You should be a little more forgiving. The most common issue stated is the audio one- no audio. The settings are just set to 0 by default, which Jeff is fixing. The campaign is fully playable, but currently not complete. Multiplayer is also an upcoming feature. A lot of the stuff promised is not yet here, but is planned. Do not purchase expecting immediate completion, but even so, I recommend it, especially given the discount. My only complaint is that the game feels too easy. Only the Jetski section is particularly difficult. I feel like the bosses could have a bit more HP on harder difficulties. The Roguelike elements normally take place in findable weapons and the shop. All in all, solid game.

It's... alright? Gameplay feels clunky and unrewarding and game is very rough around the edges. I get this early access and I think that its fine for day 1, but you might want to give this a little more time to cook.

John Wick looks under his bed every night in fear of Killer Bean. For all you young kids, Killer Bean was a pre-YouTube CGI short film series sensation and it's a masterpiece. It seems that for the first time in the history of game development, Rockstar has a competitor. Game of the year? No, it's game of the generation.
