This thing is basically a love letter to the old mid 2000s colin mcrae games. It's very good for a mobile game, this obviously comes with pros and cons. Most noteably, the graphics aren't as good but that means it can run on a potato. Unlike its mobile counterpart, this version includes all the DLCs, thus the price tag a little higher on Steam. Surprisngly, there are a lot of vehicles and tracks to choose from. Furthermore, you can upgade, customize and tune each of the cars (you can even download vinyls from the workshop created by other players). Besides rallying, there are also 2 other modes (rallycross and mini games). The handling is rather arcadey, personally, I prefer that. It's not all sunshine and rainbows tho. Those are more or less nitpicks of mine but I still want to point them out. In order to play the game, you need to make an account even if you don't want to participate in the online leaderboards. Don't know how to describe it but some of the cars feel like they are made of cardboard. Getting a gold medal and gathering all the collectibles in the mini games is borderline impossible, I played Rush Rally 2 on Android, that one was way more doable, or maybe I started being bad videogames. And lastly, the damage model is kinda weird, sometimes you crash in a full speed into a tree and just get scratches while other times you touch a guardrail and your car is about to explode. To sum it up, this game is hella fun even for the full price. If you manage to get it for less than 5 bucks, it's a steal.

Rush Rally 3 is worth your time and money. As many reviews point out it is more arcade then sim but most importantly tons of fun. This is one of prime examples why graphics don't determine how good the game is. First an foremost it's FUN, has got lost of hours of content and multiplayer and you can do what I've done download demo first to try it.

This game checks all the boxes for what I was looking for in a rally game: a simple and intuitive progression and upgrade system, controls that strike the perfect balance between realism and arcade-style, minimal disk space requirements, and great performance on a Steam Deck. I was genuinely surprised to learn that it originally started as a mobile game. Almost nothing, apart from the visual fidelity (which can easily be attributed to its indie nature), gives it away. The UI, controls, and HUD are seamlessly adapted for both keyboard and mouse, as well as controllers. There are no typical mobile game progression elements or unlocks, and the game includes many PC-centric features, like customizable controls, cloud saves and Steam Workshop integration. It also offers a variety of game modes, ranging from standard rally single or multiplayer experiences to quirky ones like collecting coins or dodging rockets. This is an impressive achievement, especially considering the series was developed by a single developer over more then a decade. It's exciting to hear that he’s reportedly working on a sequel, which I’m eager to see. The only thing I’d specifically like to see improved is the variety in track backgrounds. Adding more distinctive and unique features, such as small “biomes” inside tracks, unique structures, or crossroads, could make the tracks feel more lively, memorable, and atmospheric. Having recently played several indie rally games, I can confidently say this one, alongside Old School Rally, stands out as one of the best. If you’re after a simple, approachable rally game reminiscent of Colin McRae Rally, this is definitely worth a try!

This is the best indie rally racing game I've played so far. I would say it's more on the arcade side of things, but it still gives you a challenge that many of us rally fans crave. I only play on the gamepad and this game is perfect for it, car handling is responsive, but not to the point where it is just glued to the road. The graphics are fine for what this is and considering how good it runs even on the shittiest PC specs, this is a miracle for sure. If you have top of the line PC then it might be a bit disappointing, but the gameplay in itself should overshadow any graphical limitations In terms of fun value, I would definitely say it outshines DIRT Rally 2.0 or WRC games for sure. Also, it runs perfectly on the steam deck.

Rush Rallye 3 Review Rush Rallye 3 is an impressive indie rally racing game available for mobile devices and Nintendo Switch. Developed by the small team at Brownmonster Limited, this title stands out with its ambitious offering despite its indie roots. As a fan of racing games, I was curious to see how it would stack up against larger titles, and I have to say, it delivers a surprisingly rich experience. While Rush Rallye 3 doesn’t aim for full-on simulation, it provides a refined driving experience with diverse vehicle handling that keeps things engaging. Each car feels distinct, and mastering their individual nuances adds depth to the gameplay. The controls are responsive and well-balanced, making it accessible for players of all skill levels, without sacrificing the feeling of precision required in tougher races. One of the game’s highlights is its Challenge Mode, which is tough but never unfair—at least if you set the A.I. to adaptive, as I did throughout my playthrough. The adaptive A.I. strikes a fine balance, allowing races to remain competitive while avoiding the frustration that often comes with overly difficult opponents. Though at times, the A.I. behavior felt a bit scripted, the overall racing dynamics were believable and enjoyable. Visually, Rush Rallye 3 impresses with detailed environments and car models that rival larger, more expensive games. From snow-covered tracks to dense forests, the variety in environments keeps the experience fresh. Despite being an indie game, the developers have done a fantastic job in ensuring smooth performance, even on mobile devices, with no noticeable frame drops or lag. One area where Rush Rallye 3 really shines is in its car selection and customization. There’s a solid range of vehicles to choose from, each with different handling characteristics. The ability to personalize both the look and performance of your car allows for a level of immersion that keeps the game engaging for the long term. Couple that with the wide range of tracks, weather effects, and terrain types, and you’ve got a game with great replayability. Another aspect I really appreciated is how the game encourages perfection through its Steam Achievements. For completionists, this adds an extra layer of satisfaction, as you’ll find yourself replaying tracks and modes to unlock all the achievements. It's a great way to extend the gameplay, making it not only fun but also rewarding to master every aspect of the game. This attention to detail makes Rush Rallye 3 even more appealing for players looking for a challenge that lasts. In conclusion, Rush Rallye 3 proves that indie games can stand toe-to-toe with larger titles, offering an impressive amount of content, refined mechanics, and a rewarding challenge. It may not be a hardcore simulation, but its diverse vehicle handling, adaptive A.I., and rewarding achievement system make it a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Whether you're a rally racing enthusiast or a casual gamer, Rush Rallye 3 is well worth your time. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a solid racing game with a unique indie charm.
