The Coma 3: Bloodlines — a success story for the developers? The Coma 3: Bloodlines finally concludes the story of The Coma series and fully explains who these shamans, spirit hunters, and this whole “coma” are from A to Z. Story: A direct continuation of The Coma 2 that clearly shows the story isn’t over yet, and the enemies must be stopped. Gameplay: 1. Everything is now on a higher level. For the first time in the series, there are three main characters. Each one has unique gameplay, which creates a real “WOW” effect. 2. The combat system is also a nice addition. Now (playing as the main guy in the area), you can fight back not only against mosquitoes, but also against your favorite “MILF teacher” and her knife-wielding companion. 3. There’s not just one main villain anymore — there are four of them. Including the “MILF teacher.” 4. The final boss has unique mechanics, which, after finishing the second game, can feel overwhelming. He’s tough. --- Now let’s go over the pros and cons. Pros (+): Story Gameplay in certain moments Only 5 GB on HDD (yes, the game supports HDD) Optimization in some areas Steam achievements Mina’s attractive legs (that the general seemed to admire) Cons (-): Gameplay in certain moments Mosquitoes The guy with the axe The final boss Not being able to beat the final boss and reach the credits Had to watch the ending on YouTube Paid DLC for better outfits for the girls No Steam trading cards No cheat codes or proper trainers (like God Mode) to beat the final boss Stamina system The game uses a lot of VRAM, and system requirements don’t match reality (it used 7.7 GB VRAM for me, while recommending something like an Nvidia GeForce 7900) No proper resolution or graphics settings (resolution can only be changed in windowed mode) --- Overall: If we ignore the fact that I couldn’t beat the final boss with a single “X” button and that he spawns tons of enemies and traps right in front of you, the game is good. I recommend it, but because of frustrating moments and the final boss — only 6.9/10 The Coma 3: Bloodlines

Overall experience, satisfied conclusion to the Trilogy. A bit shorter than previous games judging from how I got all achievements within 5-6 hours of gameplay which is just one playthrough. But I bought the bundles and start playing from the first game so I wouldn't complain about it. Since the entire series is like one big game that is very enjoyable. Now for the game itself. - I felt this one lack of the horrors aspect of previous games (maybe because there are more characters. it felt safe having people arounds and not just you running for your life anymore.) But you'll still get The Coma experience that the previous games did from time to time. - The difficulty are just about right. there are no particular parts that I got stuck. Some puzzle might need you to actually use your brain but just take your time. - Money and Item management is still crucial since there are less item for you to loot and you'll need them. Story and World building are the best things that this series give. it might not be the best or impactful story ever made but it will catch you well enough with it's mysteries and foundations that they already laid. Even though this might be the end and conclusion of this Trilogy. I wouldn't surprise if there's another game coming out due to how well the world is already built.

The Coma 3: Bloodlines - a strong finale to The Coma series Let’s start review with the positives: 1) Graphics / Art Style The Coma series has always had its own unique and beautiful art style, and this game is no exception. The visuals have been refreshed, but they still remain recognizable and appealing 2) Characters For the first time in The Coma series, players get THREE playable characters right away. While with one character u can easily fight again monsters, another allows you to carefully avoid them without taking any damage 3) Lore The Coma series is incredibly good for it's gameplay and atmosphere but also in it's lore - and this game has plenty of it. We get new information about both returning characters from previous entries and completely new ones. 4) Bosses and Monsters The final game introduces four new bosses that act as obstacles across different locations. And honestly, I like how each boss has a unique playstyle - it adds more challenge for the player. While one boss will chase you throughout an entire area and attack at every opportunity, another acts like an immortal pain in the neck, appearing at the worst possible moments. CONS: 1) Monsters Don’t worry - the game isn’t as overwhelming with enemies as The Coma 2B, but there are still moments when there are so many of them that you’re forced to look for alternative routes or hide in a room, hoping they’ll move away. It also sometimes feels like enemies are deliberately standing right behind doors. I can’t explain otherwise how I’d hear an enemy move away, step out - and instantly get hit by a monster standing RIGHT NEXT TO THE DOOR. 2) Save System Another issue I ran into is the save system - or rather, its absence in some areas for long stretches. There are entire locations where you have either only ONE save point for almost the whole section, or none at all. And considering that bosses are often present and constantly pressure you, some parts turn into a hiding simulator - because no one in their right mind wants to replay 20 minutes over and over again. 3) Cosmetics Come on, guys - how do you release the final game without adding collectible cards or items for Steam points?:( I’d gladly buy profile pictures of the main characters or bosses Hopefully, this feature will be added soon so I can decorate my profile with a cool animated pfp To close out my review, I just want to thank the developers for adding Ukrainian localization to every game in the The Coma series. Honestly, without it, I might’ve never discovered such a great series in the first place. The Coma will always have a special place in my heart, and I’ll definitely be coming back to these games again. Thanks for everything you’ve made.

Score: 7/10 I’ve finished one playthrough and wanted to drop a review before jumping into a second run for the True Ending and remaining achievements. (I’ve played almost every games in the series except for 2B). Pros 1. Visuals The art style has improved significantly. There is a much wider variety of character expressions and poses, which I absolutely loved. 2. Voice Acting There is a noticeable increase in voiced lines for the characters. 3. Inventory You can carry a lot more items now. 4.Stealth Mechanics The minigames while hiding from monsters are more challenging and fun. 5. Combat Adding combat mechanics brings a fresh feel to the gameplay—it's nice not having to just run away all the time. Cons 1. Monster Behavior -Camping: Monsters camp way too much. Trying to explore a floor is a massive time-sink because monsters just linger in one spot and won't move. You run, you hide, you wait forever for them to stop searching, you go back to explore—and they’re right there again. It’s a tedious loop. -Aggressive Spawning: They stick to you like glue (especially that female mannequin). As soon as you leave a hiding spot, a monster spawns. You hide, wait, leave—and it's back instantly. There were segments where I did nothing but play tag with monsters. -Clunky Timing: Sometimes a monster would appear out of nowhere and backstab me while I was locked in a cutscene. I couldn't even run because Youngho hadn't finished his dialogue yet. -Design Flaws: The game encourages thorough exploration to collect notes, but the monster behavior makes exploring exhausting. Also, whoever decided to have 3–4 monsters gank you at once... why? It’s not "fun" difficult; it’s just frustrating and annoying. Even when trying to solve puzzles, they won't leave you alone. I know Youngho can fight now, but sometimes I just don't want to waste resources and HP on trash mobs. 2. Manual Save Points I didn't have an issue with this until the final boss fight. I don't understand why there isn't a save point closer to the boss room. Every time you die, you respawn quite far away and have to waste time running back. It would have been much better to have a save point right before the boss cutscene triggers (even the second game had this). 3. Boss Fights For a casual player like me, the boss fights felt a bit too difficult. I died and had to restart many times on my first run. The game really needs difficulty settings. 4. Puzzles At certain points, the puzzles feel too frequent. You walk a bit—find a code. Walk a bit more—find another code. Some puzzles are so cryptic that even after solving them, I still had no idea what the logic was. Overall, I still like The Coma 2 the most. For me, The Coma 3 trips up mainly on the monster behavior and boss fights. It’s a type of difficulty that just isn't enjoyable.
