The game is FUN. It's not too difficult, but also not too easy. You can finish it in about 10 hours if you speed-run, but if you really want to do everything it might take you closer to 30 hours. [*] The humor is mostly goofy stuff that makes fun of other RPGs... like all the guards took an arrow to the knee and shout "For the Cool King, he's so cool," when you talk to them. Or how you start the game in a cart with a guy whose mouth is taped shut... because his breath stinks SO BAD nobody could handle it anymore. [*] Combat is simple and intuitive, but each enemy has its own set of attack moves. A few of them even have bow and arrows or magic spells they can toss around the battlefield. [*] Exploration is rewarding, but the world map is not very big... you can do a lap around the whole island in about an hour. There are a few points of interest on the map where you'll have to defeat special monsters and find special loot, a few hidden areas with secret loot, but it's really easy to navigate the world. Especially after you get double jump and triple jump abilities. [*] The art and music style are both just "meh, it's okay I guess." It just works (TM). [*] Your choices "matter" but not really... but at least the final couple of quests have choices that really do matter, since there are two possible endings to the game. You can either help the dragon to free the enslaved monsters so they can live in peace again, or help the king get rich by running his dungeon amusement park. You can even do a bit of both. Your choice. [*] There is a skill tree. It is easy to understand, but you'll never gain enough XP to get all the skills to LEGENDARY status. Pick the skills that matter most to your play style. (Hint: damage, crit chance, crit damage, extra HP, poison & fire resistance.) Also, upgrade your sword and armor whenever you can afford a new one.

~OVERALL RATING~ 70% ~ SUMMARY ~ Haha this game was funny! For a solo indie dev it was really refined and full featured. The gameplay is good, and the Skyrim rip off was tastefully tongue-in-cheek. It's hard to take seriously as it's a parody, but for this reason it works. I beat this game in 14 hours, which included waiting an in game hour for something to complete. It'd be possible to replay, get another ending, grab a couple more achievements, but for me, I'm done. It was a good game the entire time. I had fun, I messed around, I was allowed to get in over my head and decide if that was something I wanted to try and push through or if I wanted to retreat and get more prepared. The story is there, and while I found the end fights satisfying, I can't say that I find the resolution to anything related to them that much so. It was an okay experience though, more than a huge letdown. One piece of advice I will put in here is invest in Health and Armor in this game. Even fairly basic enemies can one shot you without those.

the only drawback is the game name means that you really can't easily look stuff up about it but that's more of an AI apocalypse issue than one with the game
