Roadtrip is a fun game with a TON of potential. They have a great formula going - my biggest issue is the inventory management side of the game. It is fun it is like solving a puzzle, but once you know what to do in this game becomes more than the actual gameplay. This is even amplified with co-op. Co-op being added was a great feature, but my guys, y'all need a way to let both players manage inventories at the same time or something to make the process a lil' faster. Great job so far!
Got introduced to **Deadly Days: Roadtrip** through HandOfBlood and thought: “Yeah, this looks fun.” And it is. The problem is that the game very quickly discovers one of my biggest weaknesses: **Greed.** “Just one more item.” “Just one more ... .” “I can totally handle this.” “I should probably leave now…” “…but what if there’s something good over there?” And then I die in Level 1 or Level 2 because apparently survival instincts are optional when loot is involved. Frustrating? Absolutely. Addicting? Also absolutely. **10/10 — would ignore every warning sign and die for one more piece of loot again.**
fun but challenging and often frustrating fun: the backpack feature is well implemented and fun, but needs more interactions or items imo. the permanent upgrade system seems meaningful, the hideout looks cool and changes over time. rerolling and banishing could be a bit earlier, but seems well balanced. BIG melee weapons is hella fun and carried my early game wins. ranged can be more insane and even lag the ♥♥♥♥ out of the game. i literally had like 30 FPS at some points. an early radar spirals your run guaranteed into ridiculousness. challenging: when you win, you can level up and choose a perk for the character that won. also the difficulty goes up. when you now want to play a different character, the difficulty stays, but you dont have that perk. would be good if you could choose to lower the difficulty manually. have me decide if i want it now or not. the base difficulty of the game is already quite steep. frustrating: gamebalance - some enemies are ridiculous. some just do way too much damage imo or can corner you with their ground effect skills (skill issue tbf). the Yodeler - ♥♥♥♥ THAT GUY. he yodels, and summons a musical note that follows you. it follows you (for a set amount of seconds) even if the yodeler dies. it can spawn on your exact position. there will be multiple yodelers that instantly ruin your decent run. if you are not already steamrolling screens of hordes like on a godrun, you will be paranoid every time you see the yodlers or musical notes. needs to be adjusted.
