This is a really great short game. Costs basically zero currency and you get something pretty sweet. Only complaint is i feel like if my friends see this game on my profile their first look is the game banner which gives the game a bad look. Don't like that, but the game itself is great. Edit: After completing the whole game with all 30 achievements, I really want to say this game is something special, a real gem. I'm gonna be sad there isn't a part 4, I love these characters c:

This game is ancient at this point, but it's a set of three classic RPGMaker games mostly with simple themes of adventure and a father-like figure taking care of his basically-daughter. As other reviews say, it's a visual novel with completely extraneous RPG fights put in kind of... just for the sake of it? It has lovely art by Miwashiba and is generally simple, pleasant, and very very low-cost.

Super cute, quaint, horror-lite RPG. The battles aren't really the focus, instead mostly being about overworld puzzles and dialogue. The pixel art is really well made, and the short bits of animated scenes and stills are a delight to behold, even if in a somewhat low resolution. I’m pretty stupid so I got stuck a few times, but there are very comprehensive guides to achieve everything in the game. Each game also allows you to view all the CGs and animated scenes once you’ve completed them, along with a sound test, which is appreciated. Super cheap and fairly short, so hard to go wrong with. Just a delightful little time.

Review after 100% The only real negative aspect that I can think of for LiEat is that there will never be a LiEat 4. This trilogy of short games is one of the primary examples of the most splendid utilizations of RPG maker, they are short story focused rpgs with a very light approach on the combat (which exists only for story purposes). LiEat follows the bonding relationship between a notorious conman and her little dragon sidekick as they uncover three different mysteries and also shed light on the protagonist’s past. The writing is endearing and agile, the world building is simple and yet intriguing and the characters are so entertainingly distinct that I just wanted to see more of them. I am going to actually stop this review here; just go buy it, when it’s on sale it’s astonishingly cheap! I could go on ranting on the beautiful pastel pixel art, or on the animated cutscenes or the music which is at the same time gloomy and comforting but the review would be longer than the game, and it’s best to just to experience immediately this heartwarming tale.

I love Miwashiba's games, LiEat particularly reminds me of Alicemare. <3 I really enjoy the comforting yet melancholic vibes, the art and music are lovely as always. I like the simplicity of the gameplay and story (though the plot certainly has intriguing elements as well), which makes the experience mostly lighthearted and relaxing. Just like the other works form the dev, the story has a great balance between wholesome silly scenes and a bit of horror and mature themes. The characters are sweet and likable, and I'm especially fond of how the three "cases" take place with time skips between them, depicting the growth and development of the two protagonists. The small combat sections are a fun addition and very easy with a specific strategy, but it's fairly difficult to discover the legendary weapons without a guide lol.
