I strongly recommend Pigface. This is a game with style. It's Cruelty Squad for people who get migraines from Cruelty Squad, and that's a compliment. It's got janky qualities but I'd have a hard time calling it a janky game. It knows there's jank inside it, but holy ♥♥♥♥ is it full of life and style. I honestly think this might be one of the best shooters I've played this year. I finished the content released so far in about 7 hours, and every hour was a pleasure to complete. The enemies are dumb, very dumb. But hear me out for second, that doesn't take you out of the experience. In fact, it make it *more* immersive. I mean think about it, you're fighting meth-heads half the time. They are known for a terrible spatial awareness. The weapons all feel tightly made. They all serve their purpose and you don't go in with a whole lot of ammo. You will end up doing improvisation by late level combat. I start a mission with my kitted out LMG, and end it with a bloodied half-broken hammer in my hand. It is ridiculously fun. You're not some bigshot, you're a woman, who's trying to make it past 10 coke sniffers running at you. Another absolute chef's kiss feature is the addition of being forced to play earlier levels to get morphine (health vials). It's such a great way to *show* the player how much they've leveled. By the time you have a mag-fed 12 gauge shotgun, going through the first couple levels feels like having dopamine hooked directly into your brain. This is made tenfold, by the insane euphoria-style ragdoll physics. Locations as loadout screens is such a gem too. It's so awesome having an entire apartment and a van as selection screens instead of a boring flat 2D navigation. A true show of the dev's skill with making the player feel so immersed, with, such a little budget and (solo) small team. I probably have more to add about this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gem of a title, but just buy it. It's pretty cheap for the amount of love and care put in, the dev is super dedicated and pushes out a huge update every few months, new missions, guns, QoL... you name it, he's adding it. Thank you Tito, this is a great game. I can't wait to see what more you have for us.
