I really enjoy this game but the bosses ruin prefect runs. Needs to be better balanced.

Fun game in every aspect but one... like Balatro the bosses ruin runs out of peer spite. The Boss modifiers should be specified before i start a run as i get a full build just for the final boss to make my build absolutely use less. Was building around the odd dice stacking them for multipliers and the 100% 31 face value. Final boss makes any face value above 6 subtract rather then add. How to i counter that this late into a run??

So this game has kind of a hit and miss for me, it's fun but also infuriating as well allow me to explain It's very fun, using combinations of dice and multipliers to enable huge rolls and huge scores [the ring that copies each extra die thrown + bottle of caps + rubik's Cube + Jacks] is very fun Having 60+ dice in your bag and throwing tons of them each round is very fun Seeing huge numbers go BRRRRRR is very fun What's not very fun, are most of the boss mechanics One that reduces your value for each extra value you give to it, which completely shut down my last run. Boss mechanics that burn dice to enable them to be 0's, is not very fun I like the game, but please revise some of the boss mechanics so they're not just blockers that shut down your run, I get the game is supposed to have a challenge, but also with a game that's pretty much completely RNG and rolling dice, you have to also make it fair to the player as well. Thanks for reading.

Played the Demo and got addicted, and now I'm loving all the polish and new stuff added in the full version. Obviously the game's visuals take heavy inspiration from Balatro, but it does a lot of things in an interesting and unique way, so calling it "Balatro with dice" would be unfair. There are a lot of well thought out game design decisions that make the game very rewarding to play. For example, your score on a certain stage and currency are one in the same, meaning if you have a busted combination of dice scoring you 10x what you need, whatever isn't paid off at the end of the level goes into your pocket, giving you much more money to spend in the shop and rewarding you for over-scoring. Similarly, any unspent currency contributes to the next stage's score requirement, meaning you can give yourself an easier time next level by holding off on spending. The game has a load of fun builds you can spec into, and great synergies and anti-synergies between dice and rings (passive effects). For example, a lot of dice release an area of effect around themselves, adding or multiplying value to other dice in that radius. The magnetic dice pulls dice together, and the Red Giant gains permanent value every time it finds itself in an area of effect. Build your dice bag around this, and you can get crazy value from one dice. There are also dice that do nothing when initially rolled, but gain "charge" such that after a certain number of rolls triggers a powerful effect, like creating a legendary dice, or rolling a copy of every single dice on the table. That last one is fun because half of the time you forget that its fully charged, roll it, and suddenly a chain of random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ starts rolling repeatedly and suddenly there are 50 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dice on the table and you just scored 12M points when you only needed 5000. Sound design is also super satisfying and crunchy, and the music is great. Only complaint I have (which was from the Demo, so it may be changed now) is the Eye of God legendary ring (which lets you choose 1 dice to guarantee rolling its highest face) feels a bit underpowered, since a lot of the more powerful dice have a negative effect if they roll their highest face. Can't tell you how many times I've used this ring on a D666, forgetting that this dice destroys itself if it lands on 666. That may very well just be a skill issue on my part, and there are probably more dice worth using this ring on in the full version. If you enjoyed Balatro you'll probably get the same dopamine hits from insane synergies here, and if you're not sure there's always the demo.
